First Hatch Of The Year - May 2022
17 Eggs went into the incubator, day 8 all were fertile and showed signs of life, day 15 one egg hadn't progressed and was removed. Day 21 all 16 eggs pipped, hatched and survived. This was a great first hatch result from all our new hens and cockerels. This hatch I used a Brinsea Maxi 2 EX which is digital and maintains the humidity and temperature.
Second Hatch Of The Year - In Progress Due To Hatch 6/6/22
21 Eggs went into the incubator, day 8 all were fertile and showed signs of life, day 15 and all are doing good. Day 18 all embryos were alive and went into lockdown. Day 21 - 20 out of 21 hatched, unfortunately between lock down and hatching one wasn’t strong enough to pip. Here are some of the beautiful chicks that hatched! This hatch I used a Brinsea Maxi 2 EX which is digital and maintains the humidity and temperature.
Third Hatch Of The Year - In Progress Due To Hatch 10/6/22
11 Eggs went into the incubator, day 8 all were fertile and showed signs of life, day 10 and all are doing good. Day 18 all 11 eggs are alive and went into lockdown. Day 21- 9 out of 11 hatched but unfortunately two didn't make it to pip. This hatch I used my other incubator which is. Brinsea Mini Eco 2, a good little incubator but this one doesn't maintain heat and humidity like an automatic incubator which makes the difference.

Here are some of the chicks at around 1.5-2 weeks old, now you can see their colours better. We have some cuckoo and Omlet one of the brown chicks has the frizzle gene, absolutely beautiful!
Fourth Hatch Of The Year - 24th July 2022
16 Eggs went into the incubator, day 5 all were fertile and showed signs of life, but one although fertile had a blood ring and had died. Im using my Brinsea Maxi 2 EX incubator. I will next check them around day 10 to remove any that haven't progressed. Day 18 and its lockdown day, all 15 embryos are still alive and thriving. 13 out of 15 Hatched, 2 didn't manage to pip unfortunately which is always hard but the other 13 are doing great and drying off. Some pictures of the chicks just hatched.
First Hatch Of The Year - March 2023
19 Eggs went into the incubator, day 5 all were fertile and showed signs of life! They will be checked again in a few days to see how their progressing! Day 13 and all 19 eggs are thriving! Lockdown in 5 days. Day 18, lockdown and all 19 eggs have made it..now its time to wait for them to hatch. Eggs are in my Brinsea Maxi. Update:- 16 successfully hatched and unfortunately 3 didn't manage to pip, always upsetting but its nature and full some reason they weren't meant to be.

Second Hatch Of The Year - 2023
9 Eggs went into the incubator, day 14 all were fertile and showed signs of life! Eggs are in my cheap incubator which I use to space out my hatches but I now have a second Brinsea so this one will no longer be used. I will update soon. Update:- 3 eggs were quitters before lockdown, so 6 went into lockdown and out of the 6 today, 2 have hatched, 2 have piped and 2 are fine but not quiet ready to pip externally yet. Update:- 5 out 6 hatched, the 6th internally pipped but didn't manage to do an external pip.
Third Hatch Of The Year - 2023
15 Eggs went into the incubator, day 8 all were fertile and showed signs of life! Eggs are in my Brinsea Maxi 24, a great new addition for us here. I will update soon. Update:- Lockdown is tomorrow the 31/3/23 and hopefully all 15 are still with us. Update all 15 hatched out and survived! That is a perfect hatch and Im very happy with my new Brinsea! We have some beautiful colours again.
Fourth Hatch Of The Year - 2023
24 Eggs went into the incubator, I will update soon. Update:- At day 14 one quit/23 perfect. Day 18 23 eggs go into lockdown and all 23 hatched out no issues. Another amazing hatch here!
Fifth Hatch Of The Year - 2023
24 Eggs went into the incubator, all 24 are fertile....update soon. 5th June all 24 eggs checked one had stopped progressing but 23 all good and are now in lockdown. Update soon.
First Broodie Hen/s Hatch Of The Year - 2023
12 eggs went under 2 hens, all 12 fertile but 2 quit as one hen took the others eggs and didn't have the room for all. The 10 eggs all hatched under the hens and 9 found homes and 3 stayed here with their mothers.
